Product Owner

Leadpages is a early-stage tech company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota that’s changing the way businesses do marketing, lead generation, and conversion rate optimization online. With a growing team that works closely together, we move fast and enjoy what we do.

Are you passionate about online marketing but frustrated with the state of your tools?  Help us make them better! Leadpages is looking for an expert in conversion marketing to join our team as Product Owner.  You'll have a direct hand in crafting our product strategy, research customer pain and lead one or more teams as they evolve one of the industry’s top marketing technology products.

This is the ideal role for a marketer who has been interested in building a top-notch product.  You’ll know you’re the perfect candidate if you:

Love marketing technology

You voraciously seek out new products and strategies.  Sometimes it’s to eek out a higher conversion or engagement - but sometimes it’s just because it’s fun to try new things and see what’s out there.  You probably have a dock that’s littered with products you’ve tried out - and that doesn’t bug you one bit.

Empathize and listen

Marketers are your people.  You could sit around all day listening to how they use different products, what problems they’re finding and how they overcome them.  You love getting out and talking to people.  You know that insight often comes out of the office - which is why you’re already figuring out how to see more people.

Have curiosity in spades

When was the last time you encountered something you didn’t understand and thought “I just don’t have enough room in head for this.”  Never, right?  You devour information, pick apart anything you don’t know and probably know exactly why the English language is so full of exceptions.  Curiosity might have killed the cat, but you’re sure she lived a great life.

Like to solve problems

No problems?  No fun!  Finding problems is how you know that you’re doing it right - and solving them is one of the reasons you come in every day.  The harder the challenge, the greater the reward, right?

Embrace the unknown

You don’t just acknowledge the unknown, you embrace it.  There’s always more to know and things don’t always turn out how you thought they might.  You’re constantly reminded that humility is a virtue. You roll with the punches and strive to learn as much as you can - but you don’t get discouraged when you can’t predict everything.

Does this sound like you?  Join us and you won’t regret it!

What you’ll do:

Your responsibilities will shift and grow with our company's growth, but initially you will:

  • Guide one or more teams as a Product Owner
  • Become the one we go to with questions about our market and customers
  • Research customer and market problems
  • Communicate customer needs and use cases
  • Collaborate with your team on requirements, user experience and how to get there
  • Gather feedback from your colleagues and customers
